ABOUT THIS FUNCTION
As a Facilities & Maintenance volunteer, you help us take good care of our church building. You regularly walk through the building, identify what needs maintenance or repair, and ensure that this is passed on or addressed.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You regularly walk through the building to see what needs attention. You identify wear and tear, damage, dirty walls, and other maintenance issues. You keep an eye out for areas that need painting or repair work, for example. You tackle small jobs yourself if you are able and enjoy doing so. For other tasks, you ensure that the right person is brought in.
DOES THIS SUIT YOU?
You are practical, observant, and responsible. You notice things that others easily overlook and enjoy solving problems. Are you also a bit handy? Then that is a nice bonus!
WHY YOU MATTER
A building does not stay beautiful and well-kept on its own. By inspecting regularly, identifying wear and tear early, and carrying out maintenance on time, we prevent deferred maintenance and decay. In this way, we take good care of what God has entrusted to us, and our building remains a beautiful and well-kept place in the long term.
